For two decades, REGIONAL AIR SERVICES has been FBO (fixed base operator) and national leader in General Aviation services.
In recent years, it has been ranked second after Henri Coandă Otopeni Airport, in the national ranking, in terms of aircraft movements, according to the official AAR data (2019 edition) .
Since 28.01.2009, the company is certified to work as an Approved Training Organization (ATO) by the Romanian Civil Aviation Authority.
REGIONAL AIR SCHOOL, a REGIONAL AIR SERVICES brand
On a national level, Tuzla Flight School is the most prestigious private organization of professional training for civilian aeronautical personnel for fixed wing (aircraft pilots), while, internationally, it has become a redoubtable player between training organizations. Due to the remarkable performances and results obtained by our graduates in the employment process (RYANAIR, WIZZAIR, TAROM, BLUEAIR), the school is attracting more and more students from Europe, a quarter of the students being foreign nationals.
REGIONAL AIR SCOOL is the first private school in Romania operating complying to international standards. It holds RO/ATO-06/1 authorization and offers training based on EASA Regulations (Part FCL).
In respect for the hero Tudor Greceanu, on May 13, 2017, at the 50th anniversary of the first flight on Tuzla airport and 100 years after the birth of this aviation hero – the flight school took its name:
“I wish that graduates of Tudor Greceanu Flight School (Regional Air School) leave Tuzla not only with a license, but also with a model, and I chose this model to be Tudor Greceanu. I am also concerned to have the iconic figures for aviation better chosen and better promoted and make the aeronautical culture no longer just a privilege of those who attend flight schools or of the internal culture of Regional Air Services (RAS) organization, but of to all young people who seek solid and clear moral standards. Therefore, the entire year 2017 was marked by the celebration of 50 years since the first flight on the Tuzla airfield and 100 years since the birth of Tudor Greceanu ”- Adrian Vasilache, General Manager of Regional Air Services.
REGIONAL AIR SERVICES (RAS) has an independent status and has never received public funding, tax exemptions, subsidies, scholarships for cadet training, aircraft, facilities or infrastructure, and this situation makes RAS performance even more deserving.
